To inspire, support, educate, and empower women through perinatal services in hopes of creating better birth outcomes for mothers and their babies.
All women from all backgrounds have access to birthing options, resources, education, and perinatal services. Women have a profound understanding of their bodies and the choices that they can make during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. Women have the support they need to have a healthy pregnancy and healthy first six weeks of postpartum. We are their support system and their village.
I was afraid to give birth once I found out I was pregnant with my first child. I lacked knowledge, understanding, and trust when it came to my body. I got ALL my information about birth from Hollywood movies, A Baby Story, and scary birth stories from family and friends. Not only that I experienced sexual abuse as a child so I had layers and layers of fear that would be a barrier for me during my first 3 births. It wasn’t until I faced my fears, educated myself, and gained an understanding of my body that I had a very peaceful home birth with my 4th. It was by far the most empowering experience I have ever had. I could not believe everything I knew about birth before was a lie. I felt like I found gold and I could not keep this secret to myself anymore. Right then and there I decided to become a Birth Worker and share my knowledge with other women. I enjoy what I do and I love seeing women’s faces light up the moment they are no longer afraid and they confidentially embrace their journey.
